Refractive eye development is a tightly coordinated developmental process. The general layout of the and its various components are established during embryonic development, which involves complex cross-tissue signaling. then undergoes refinement process postnatal emmetropization process, relies heavily on integration environmental genetic factors controlled by an elaborate network. This network encodes multilayered signaling cascade, converts visual stimuli into molecular signals that guide growth eye. cascade underlying refractive spans across all ocular tissues comprises multiple pathways.
